Our Professional Team
NW BOCES maintains a highly qualified staff, including PTSB-certified and licensed professionals such as special and regular education teachers, a school nurse, social worker, business manager, residential supervisor, and an administrative director. We also work with licensed consultants, including a psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, licensed practical nurse, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and pharmacist.
Commitment to Training and Safety
All staff members are certified in MANDT (non-violent crisis intervention), First Aid, and CPR. Ongoing professional development is a priority, with regular training and weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLC) meetings to ensure we continually grow as educators and caregivers. Our commitment to a high staff-to-student ratio means each child receives individualized attention and support.
Collaboration and Communication
Our staff excels at working collaboratively with families, school districts, DFS personnel, multidisciplinary teams (MDT), and IEP teams. Through systematic and cooperative communication, we ensure seamless support for every student, both academically and therapeutically.
